This post is specifically for all of you who didn’t listen to me in my last post and overcooked your boxed cookies.
Fret not. Luckily, there is a way to salvage that batch of cookies with one simple ingredient…A SLICE OF WHITE BREAD!
Yeah, super weird right? Okay, so put your cookies in an airtight container along with a piece or two of white bread on top. Leave them all sealed overnight and in the morning the cookies will magically be soft again. It has something to do with the density and moisture of the cookies versus the bread, blah, blah, blah. Bottom line..it works. Oh, and you can also use this trick for hard brownies too. I stole this trick from Mama Bretschneider so thank her, not me.
